The rubber cleaves to your mouth like a drumskin. You are dying.

Hellooo creampuffs, welcome back. So Egos #2 is out, I'm sure you're all on your 3rd read-through (at least) and need another fresh hit of that Gussy goodness. Well you got it. Today I'm posting a lil' pic I did for a new zine coming out called Creepy Thread. It's put together by two of my favorite people: the art-freakin', horror-luvin' power couple of Jensine Eckwall and Peter Scmidt.

Their zine examines internet specific horror shorts (or something, I can't parse all the web-based new-speak) but I instead chose to illustrate one of my favorite horror-lit phenoms: The Black Crown Project. I can't reccomend enough that you go read/play this thing immediately. It's a story, see? But it's also a game and like this strange marriage of W. Burroughs, new media and the New Weird all framed in a Choose Your Own Adventure style click-through mechanic. It's actually impossible to describe, just follow the link below. Do yourself a favor, for once.

THE BLACK CROWN PROJECT

EGOs #2

Hey guys, EGOs #2 releases tomorrow! In the interim, here are two pics I did for Stuart's EGOs #0 twitter-based story (linked below.)

EGOs #0

Sign it! v2.0

Hello bloggonites, new transmission from the Mother Ship. Stuart and I have another signing, this time for EGOs #2, at the venerable comic institution Forbidden Planet. We had a great time at the last one so if you like comics, scifi or just good ole fashioned japery, scoot your but down to 832 Broadway at 7pm on Feb. 12th. Whoowah.

End of an era...

Hey guys, long time no blog. I'm posting today some linework from the final issue of Twelve Reasons to Die, the GhostFace comic I was working on fer some months.

Also, as maybe a few of you know, the first issue of EGOs dropped last Wednesday. We were happy to see a distinctly positive reaction to the book along with crazy generous reviews; my thanks to all the supporters out there. Pick up a copy why'dontcha?

The Short Con...

Hellooo everybody, its the one week mark before EGOs drops and I thought I'd share the hitherto unseen cover variant for Issue #1. We see here Top Quark (a real villain type) who plays prominently into the first issue. Unfortunately, the cover is only been sold as an exclusive at ImageCon 2014 so it wont see wide distribution but hell, you can gorp at it here. Huzzah!

Also, Stuart and I did another interview for CBR last week, I'll post a link below.

The Hormigaund

New character concept for a story I've been toying with over the holidays.

A new year of EGO's...

This coming month, lets call it January, will be the official release of my new Image comic: EGO's. I'm posting the cover for the third issue here, along with deets on a pending public appearance.

If you, dear reader, feel compelled to get your copy of the aforementioned comic signed by me, well, you're in luck. Come to the NY comic-shop, Jim Hanely's Universe, on Jan 15th. 6 to 8pm, and I will be there, signing these very books. Comic books. That I drew. So check it out!

Gobble...gobble...bleh.

And a merry Thanksgiving to all. Excelsior.

After the wake...

Here's a lil' contribution I made to an upcoming coffee table book called Creepy Romance.

The Saga continues...

Two notes fer' today:

1. SAGA #15, Brian K. Vaughn's scifi epic, dropped last Wednesday and Vaughn was gracious enough to run a preview of EGO's (my comic) in it's back pages. I thought it came out pretty well but you'll have to pick up a copy to judge for yourself.

2. Twelve Reasons to Die #4 (GhostFace comic) came out to today so I'll include here a few of the pages I contributed.

EGO Trip

Hey boys and ghouls, wanted to report that the comic project I've been working on was just officially announced by the publisher Image! The book is called EGO's, the first issue to be appearing Jan15 2014. I'm including links to the press release, as well as an interview Stuart Moore (my writer/co-creator on the the project) and I did for Comic Book Resources. Here's a little piece of EGO's art as well, for your pleasure.
